I'll introduce you to everything we'll learn together and show you that great photos aren't about expensive technology, but about light, composition, and a sense of the moment. You'll learn how to get the most out of the course, and you'll be ready to take your photography to a whole new level - with just your mobile phone in your hand.

1. Phone settings

Before we start taking photos, you'll learn how to properly set up your phone to get the highest quality photos and videos. We'll go over resolution, formats, fps, grid, HDR, and other hidden features that most people don't use at all - and yet they have a major impact on the results. You'll quickly understand what to turn off, what to turn on, and why. Thanks to this, you'll have sharper, cleaner, and technically better photos from the very first shot, whether you're shooting on an iPhone or Android.

2. Mobile phone lenses

In this chapter, you'll understand how much of a difference lens choice can make in the end result—and why shooting everything with a "one-shot" lens is a waste. You'll learn how to use wide-angle, prime, portrait zoom, and telephoto lenses to give your photos perspective, depth, and a professional look. I'll show you when to use which lens, how to avoid digital zoom, and how to use focal length to change the mood of an entire photo. After this chapter, you'll start taking photos much more consciously—and your photos will be instantly better.

3. Photo & Video Modes

In this chapter, you'll discover what your phone is really capable of – and why it's a shame to only shoot in basic mode. We'll go through all the photo and video modes step by step, show you their strengths and weaknesses, and teach you when to use each one to give your photos and videos impact, atmosphere, and a creative "wow moment." From portraits to panoramas to slow-motion, timelapse, and cinematics – after this chapter, you'll have the entire phone camera under your thumb and start creating much more interesting shots.

4. Exposure settings

In this chapter, you'll understand why most photos taken with your phone look too bright, flat, and lacking in detail - and how to fix it in a second. I'll teach you how to work with exposure so that your photos have deeper colors, atmosphere, and no burnt skies. We'll show you simple tricks on how to quickly adjust exposure, how to save your settings permanently, and why a slightly darker photo always looks more professional. You'll then use the same principles for video. One of the most important chapters for anyone who wants to take photos "like a pro" with just a phone.

5. Sharpening

A properly focused photo is essential, but most people leave everything on automatic – and then are surprised that their phone focuses on the wrong place. In this chapter, I'll show you how to have full control over sharpness: when to rely on automatic, when to use tap-to-focus, and when to lock the focus. You'll learn how to work with scenes with multiple layers, and how to smoothly refocus in video to make it look truly cinematic. After this chapter, you'll no longer have blurry portraits, lost focus, or unwanted refocusing in videos.

6. Depth of field

In this chapter, you'll learn how to achieve beautifully blurred backgrounds with your phone—and why some photos look flat while others have depth and a professional look. I'll show you how depth of field is affected by lens choice, distance from your subject, and distance from the background. You'll learn tricks to separate your main subject from the rest of the scene, and I'll explain when software blur works and when to avoid it. After this chapter, you'll start consciously creating photos that have space and atmosphere.

7. Light

Light is the thing that will decide whether your photo will look amateur or professional. In this chapter, you will understand the difference between hard and soft light, learn to work with the direction of light and find out which times of day are best for photography. I will show you how to use the golden and blue hours, how to watch your exposure and why it is sometimes better to hide in the shade. One of the most important chapters of the entire course – once you start to “see” the light, your photos will move to the next level.

8. Composition

Technique will help you "make" a photo correctly, but composition will determine whether it will be truly beautiful. In this chapter, I will teach you how to compose a scene so that the photos look balanced, aesthetic and naturally attract attention. We will go over the rule of thirds, the golden ratio, central composition, line management, framing, working with negative space and unconventional angles. You will find out how to get the most out of even the most ordinary place - and how to turn a photo into something that immediately draws the viewer in. After this chapter, you will start taking photos more consciously, more creatively and with a completely different result.

9. Portrait photography & selfies

In this chapter, I'll teach you how to photograph people so that they look natural, beautiful, and confident in their photos. We'll show you which lens to choose, how to work with depth and background, how to set up lighting and composition, and how to guide a person to relax and pose naturally. You'll learn tricks for taking beautiful portraits outdoors, at home, and in the city — and also how to take really high-quality selfies without a front camera. After this chapter, you'll be able to take portraits that look professional, flattering, and have emotion.

10. Travel photography

In this chapter, I'll show you how to bring back photos from your travels that have depth, atmosphere, and emotion—not just quick snaps of views. You'll learn how to use foreground-center-background layers, work with camera height, capture beautiful light in mountains and cities, and choose the right lens for each type of landscape. I'll show you why the person in the frame is often the best thing you can do, how to photograph flowing water like silk, and how to tell a story even through small details. After this chapter, your travel photos will feel thoughtful, powerful, and most importantly, unforgettable.

11. City and architecture photography

The rules of the city are different than in nature – lines, geometry, symmetry and clarity of the shot are the key here. In this chapter, I will show you how to photograph buildings so that they don't "collapse", how to watch out for perpendicular lines, work with a minimalist composition, use reflections and urban textures and how to involve people in the scene to give the photo scale and life. You will learn to perceive the city with different eyes and create aesthetic, clean and thoughtful shots that look like something out of an architectural magazine.

12. Night photography

Taking photos in the dark is one of the toughest challenges for a mobile phone – but if you know how, you can create surprisingly beautiful photos even in minimal light. In this chapter, you will learn how to keep your phone steady, how to make the most of night mode, how to work with noise and how to find even the faintest sources of light that will save the scene. I will show you tricks for taking photos of the city, the northern lights, night snapshots and creative lighting. After this chapter, you will be able to take clean, sharp and atmospheric shots even where you would not expect a mobile phone to do so.

13. Motion photography

In this chapter, you'll learn how to capture fast-moving moments without leaving behind blurry blurs. I'll show you how to use burst shooting correctly, when Live Photo is useful, how to use video to get the perfect frame, and how to work with light to keep movement sharp. You'll get practical tricks for shooting sports, children, animals, and action scenes on the go. After this chapter, you'll be able to capture the decisive moment at exactly the right second.

14. Photo editing

Editing is the part of the process that turns a good photo into a great one—and an average photo into a salvageable one. In this chapter, I'll show you how to edit photos quickly and effectively in the native app, and if you want to go even further, I'll teach you how to work in Lightroom on mobile. We'll go over light, color, contrast, local adjustments, color mixing, and working with presets to give your photos atmosphere, depth, and a unified style. You'll learn how to edit so that the photo looks beautiful and natural—not overdone and artificial. After this chapter, you'll be able to master the edit that really elevates any photo from your mobile.

15. Fifteen most common mistakes

Bonus chapter. In the final chapter, we'll go over the most common mistakes that ruin most people's photos - and most importantly, we'll show you how to easily avoid them. From a dirty lens, a crooked horizon and bad light to over-adjusting, incorrect zoom or a scene without depth. This is a quick, practical summary of the entire course, thanks to which you will immediately fix all the key principles.
